We love seeing Seamwork patterns in the classroom!
If you're a sewing teacher, fabric store owner, or anyone else who wants to teach a class using one of our patterns, we can now help: Seamwork digital patterns can now be purchased in the number you need for your students (with a minimum of 5).
Here's how it works:
On the "Details" tab on our pattern pages, you'll find a link to purchase the pattern in bulk. Clicking this will bring up a window where you can enter the number of students you have and proceed to checkout.
When you purchase bulk patterns from us, you are buying a license to redistribute these patterns to your students. You can then print out a number of copies equal to the number you purchased, and make them available to those enrolled in your class.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use your patterns in the classroom if I am not a Seamwork member?
Yes! Seamwork patterns are available for purchase by non-members one month after they are released. You can buy them in bulk at this time.
Can I exchange Seamwork credits for patterns in bulk, or use my Unlimited plan?
No. Patterns for your students must be purchased separately from your Seamwork member benefits.
Can I use Seamwork patterns in class without buying multiple copies?
No. Our digital patterns are for personal use only, unless other arrangements are made. Purchasing multiple copies/licenses as described on this page constitutes that arrangement.
As a Seamwork member, do I get a discount on bulk patterns?
Yes! Seamwork members receive $5 off any pattern purchased outside of their member benefits, and this extends to teaching copies as well.
How much should I charge my students?
What you charge to your students for your class is up to you, but the cost of the pattern should be built into the price. You should not charge for the class and an additional amount for the pattern.
Can I sell Seamwork digital patterns?
No. Our digital patterns are not for resale. They may only be shared when used for teaching, where the cost of the pattern is included with the price of your class.
